THE TIME-BACK CALCULATOR
Is it worth
automating?
Model one recurring task. Include review and maintenance—not just the time the old process took. These are your assumptions, not promised savings.
How the estimate works
Net weekly hours = (manual minutes × runs × share removed − review minutes × runs − weekly maintenance minutes) ÷ 60. Monthly illustrations use 52 ÷ 12 weeks. Time payback divides one-time setup hours by positive weekly hours recovered.
The dollar illustration is a value-of-time assumption minus incremental software cost. It is not payroll saved, revenue generated, profit, or a promise. Setup effort is shown separately. This is a planning exercise, not financial advice.
